Every summer CUMAC collects and distributes backpacks and school supplies to local children in need just in time for the new school year. With your support, donations allow us to reach hundreds of students in our community. Want to help? During the month of August, groups and individuals can drop off school supply donations for CUMAC during regular business hours. Our staff provides a list of school items to ensure that students get exactly what they need to start the school year right. Make a donation or help spread the word by sharing our school supply drive flyer and/or our bulletin insert.

This year, CUMAC will also be working with Paterson Public Schools to help support displaced, homeless and unaccompanied youth to ensure that students are receiving all the supplies they need. Because of this we are also asking for donations of toiletry items, which we will pack into backpacks with the rest of the school items. Your support can make a big difference. Read on for more information!

2. Drop off your donations at CUMAC (located at 223 Ellison Street in Paterson) during regular business hours during the month of August. Pick-ups from a CUMAC driver can also be requested, but are subject to availability. See our hours of operation for more details.

- If you are interested in volunteering to sort items and pack school bags please call (973-742-5518) or e-mail (info@cumacecho.org) our office.
- Please drop donations off at CUMAC (or arrange for pick-up) during the month of August. Note we are not open Fridays in August. You may call to arrange a Saturday drop off date. Children in Paterson return to school in September and we’d like to send them back prepared to learn!
