CUMAC filled 16,786 referrals (households). That is a 33% increase over 2008.
Those 16,786 households accounted for 31,408 people (26% more than 2008). That is by far the most people CUMAC has ever served in a year. Of those 31,408 people - nearly 1 in 3 were children and 1 in 5 were disabled individuals, making them particularly vulnerable to hunger.
On average, each day the food pantry was open we filled 70 referrals (20 more per day than last year), accounting for 131 people fed daily (37 more per day than last year).
